Have you ever been asked about what your experience was during the mandates and lockdowns?
Have you ever been given the avenue to express to your government representatives and decision-makers how you, your family or business were affected by the government’s response to Covid 19?
CANS wants to provide an opportunity for your voice to be heard with the Judicial Review case that we presented to the Court on all of our behalf back in October of 2021.
What is a Judicial review? A Judicial Review can enable the changing of law and policy which is what makes it one of the most powerful tools for the Public to understand and apply.
We request public support in the form of letters to the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia which contain how you as a Nova Scotian were affected by the government’s response to the Covid 19 pandemic.
We have provided two sample letters. One is a standard short example and the other is a letter example from a member. In these letters are various levels of information that you can use. It would be better if you take information that you are familiar with and give examples of your own experiences with the mandates. Everyone will have their own story to tell, it will be more impactful that way.
If you are writing your own personal story on how the mandates affected you and your loved ones or are using parts of these two examples, you may want to include:
- The purpose of the hearing is CANS seeking public interest standing.
- Support for the efforts of CANS bringing the needs of the people in front of their judicial system.
- Concerns over government overreach in the future.
But we really just want to hear from you, the Nova Scotian public, about how the Public Health orders affected you. We request that you write to the Court before January 24th when CANS’ Public Interest Standing Motion will be heard. However your letters of support will still be very welcome no matter when you send them in. Hand delivery or email as a last resort is fine. Snail mail would be the most effective as this will ensure that it is seen by the Court.
Reminder: while there are a diversity of thoughts on this topic and it is to be expected that we won’t always agree with all parties involved, we request everyone to remain respectful towards the Court in the tone and tenor of their letter.
These letters will show our friends and neighbours that strong, caring, knowledgeable voices move mountains. We are grateful to you all for making the time to speak up.

You ask citizens what it WAS like during the lockdowns and mandates. Well, seeing how vaccine mandates are still in effect in some occupations, I would like to comment on what it is STILL LIKE.
The Canadian government released a vaccine safety report dated September 15, 2023. It shows the highest rate of serious adverse events ever recorded for 12-17 yr olds. They experienced 1 SERIOUS ADVERSE EVENT FOR EVERY 440 doses administered. I hardly call this rare. This data is still available online.
For the age group 0-4 yr olds, Pfizer dose 2, they experienced 1 SERIOUS ADVERSE EVENT FOR EVERY 825 doses administered.
All age groups, vaccines and dose numbers was 1 SERIOUS ADVERSE EVENTS FOR EVERY 2,678 doses administered.
The SHOCKING thing about these numbers is, they DID NOT trigger any safety concerns.

One last thing. There is a HUGE CONFLICT OF INTEREST between Dr Strang and Dr Shelly Deeks. Dr Deeks is the chairperson for NACI who “independently” advise the PHAC including Health Ministers across Canada.
Dr. Deeks is Dr Strangs deputy Health officer and she also holds jobs with the PHAC. Hardly independent.
Please for the love of god, end this madness.
We need to address the crimes currently being committed with Covid-19 “injections” because we al know they aren’t vaccines.
About time these corrupt psychos are brought to justice and as Dr. David Martin says, “extreme Justice”!!! Can’t happen fast enough!
I work as a nurse and was put on leave without pay.
During one of the worst winters with multiple power outages; mentioning my house is fully heated with electricity only; I could not bring my children into a restaurant to eat a hot meal as we are not vaccinated.
All of this has left me scared, and untrusting of the government to have my best interest at heart.
Thank CANS for all their work in protecting our freedoms
Hopefully they make people aware of of the overreach of our government and that this never happens again.
There are many instances where I felt for lack of a better term abused and ignored by the mental healthcare system when I was told that if I wanted to continue my psychiatric visits to my phycologist whom I have relied on for support for more than 20 years, that I might benefit from virtual visits, nothing screams personal touch and caring like talking through a computer screen to someone to whom you had put your trust and bared your very soul to someone that you thought had your back and had your best interest at heart, they failed miserably and will never regain my trust. The fact that we could not see our children unless we put an unproven and virtually untested vaccine in our bodies if we wanted to travel outside Nova Scotia, the humiliation of having been forced to leave a store because you suffer from depression and anxiety issues when you cover your face with a mask that at best forced you to breath in your own bodily waste by-product and at worse failed as an effective deterrent to catching or stopping even a common cold let alone a flu bug that was more than 90% survivable, the fact that my own Canadian government agencies such as Nova Scotia Works and other government agencies here in Digby NS refused me access to their services, again because I did not take the vaccine and could not wear a mask, and they had a security guard at the ready to usher me out of the building even though I had not been sick and never had Covid even at 70 years of age, we were isolated and made to feel like lepers because we dared voice our concerns and were told time and time again that we were just anti-vaxxers and conspiracy theorist and did not care about our fellow man and or our elderly relatives. As a Canadian, I am now ashamed to bear that title.
It became apparent to us very quickly it was not making sense. We couldn’t have anyone in, couldn’t go to our granddaughters 7th BD, couldn’t see our son in NB but people were in large numbers at Costco, Walmart, Home Depot. Amongst strangers. It was so heartbreaking to not see my husbands mother , age 96 in NB. We kept telling her we were not allowed to come to NB. This was her response. “I am so glad I am going out of this world than coming in.” Nothing during these past 4 years has been so profound to me than that statement. Government encouraging family, friends, neighbors and strangers to snitch on people’s private lives. And cause all kinds of people being fined ! It has made so many relationships irreparable. Families and friends. How tragic. Forced people to put non Approved FDA so called vaccines in their bodies. That did not work yet they were allowed to continue the forced narrative. Held their jobs and life hostage to do that. We were put into emergency measures automatically every 2 weeks by MLA John Lohr who admitted he had not even read the act. I don’t think we will ever get over the misuse of our freedoms by our
Medical and Government. To me personally all the above has caused me to be fearful of what I am being told by Doctors that I once always trusted. I have become fearful of phrase “trust the science, follow the science ! “ I live in fear of having to go to the hospital and being forced or deliberately given injections that I do not consent to. I want accountability , I want and pray someone stands up and does the right thing ! Someone has the guts to do what is correct. It’s simple the numbers did not warrant what they did. Someone needs to give the people something to believe in. We need to heal . We need to trust again. And from what I have seen in many news outlets , our justice system has let us down as well. Putting people in jail for a friendly protest.
The greatest hope I had was our truckers who stood up for us all. And I watched nearly every hour of the day what was going on in Ottawa. It wasn’t hard. Everyone had their phones going cause everyone knew what our government was capable of. And they showed their evil , they showed just how corrupt our PM is. I donated the first day , I just knew they would be our only hope, little did I know their courage would ignite the world in a fight to bring democracy and freedom back to the world. I will not comply in anything our government mandates. They have shown me they are incapable of solving anything. Never have and never will.
To Whom it May Concern:
My husband and I are in our early eighties and reside in a mostly seniors building. As a result of the govermental overreach during the lockdowns and restrictions which began in 2020, here are some of the indignities we suffered – physical and emotioanal and socially.
1. We suffered a huge injury to our basic human rights regarding our heartfelt bodily decisions. We embrace a natural way of living, which means we avoid pharmaceutical remedies – medications and vaccines of all kinds. We were told that we were thougtless, selfish people who were endangering others by refusing to put something in our bodies that are basically experimental and we strongly felt could be detrimental to our health.
2.Our freedoms were greatly compromised in many ways. We were unable to attend necessary appointments, to attend a class I had signed up for, Enjoy a meal at a restaurant, because of our sincere beliefs that opposed the agenda we were expected to follow.
3. Being judged and ostracized in our apartment building because of our sincere, conscientious inability to obey what we saw as LUDICROUS requirements – such as expected to attend a happy hour event with a glass of wine, while being expected to wear a mask, then enter a usually-empty hallway and elevator, then walk across an empty area to join a group of individuals. Then we were allowed to take off our masks!!!! I was unable to do so, and my, what seemed to me “common sense” kicked in.
4. Because of our deep belief regarding such things as wearing masks that cut off “God given” oxygen supply, we lost friends, alienated many family members and this division is still impacting us to this day, along with that of other like-minded people we know. (and there are many!)
I strongly believe that we are slowly but surely losing our basic liberties, such as freedom of speech, and even such things as the air quality we breathe. Many are unaware of the chemtrails that morbidly decorate our skies. And a sincere research will quickly confirm this and other actrosities taking place that should be deeply concerning to all of us.
Please do the right thing and address what needs to be done towards creating the free, unpolluted and peace-filled world we all deserve.
As a senior and a no-vaxer my personal rights in the apartment bldg we live in were limited. Friends ? whom we were playing cards and visiting with, asked us to not do those things any more. Friday night “happy hour”, we were asked to not attend. I use to play guitar and sing with another friend, we would preform in the Club Room, I was told he could not practice or preform anymore with me. People walking in the halls would avoid me. We have been in this bldg. for many years and were instrumental in arranging entertainment, get togethers, and entertainment etc., we no longer have that opportunity or desire actually, to get involved in these things. I wore a mask when necessary to shop for groceries etc.. I remain a senior no-vaxer, and see freedom disappearing in our country.
