
Declaration by We the People of Nova Scotia Concerning Consent to be Governed
Whereas the People of Nova Scotia are the owners of the lands and assets of Nova Scotia;
Whereas the Constitution is the Supreme law of Canada and acknowledges the supremacy of God;
Whereas the Constitution is written and largely unwritten to benefit the People’s access to their government;
Whereas government is in the service and acts to the benefit of We the People of Nova Scotia;
Whereas any incoming legislative assembly will be operating with the elected authority of less than half of the eligible voting population;
Whereas the People use Common Understanding of words:
Taking opportunity in the dissolution of the General Assembly of Nova Scotia, We the People take action to affect change in the operation of our government, and present the following;
- No legislation, bill, statute, order in council or regulation shall be passed that harms, discriminates, segregates or excludes any class of Nova Scotian.
- The People of Nova Scotia have the inherent right to notice and a period of time of 60 (sixty) days to give comment, consent or withdraw consent to any legislation or regulation that impacts the social and economic aspects of our lives and our unalienable rights.
This Declaration is in the form of a Public Decree, with the intention to speak to interests that are common to and affect all Nova Scotians.
Declared at Our Government House, in Our City of Halifax, this second day of December in the year of Our Lord two thousand and twenty four.
